Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
150gm unsalted butter
100 gm brown sugar
100 gm castor sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
250 gm plain flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp cinnamon powder (optional- Iris x letak pun)
200 gm chocolate, chooped - Iris guna cadbury
Start by browning the butter, so in a pot or pan add the butter.
Place this onto medium heat and heat,

whiles constantly stirring, until the butter turns a golden brown colour.
Pour this into a large bowl, then leave aside to cool down for 10 minutes.

Whisk these together.
Add the egg and egg yolk, whisk this in too.

In a small separate bowl, add the flour, salt, baking soda and ground cinnamon.
Mix these together.
Add this into your large bowl, along with the chopped chocolate.

Mix everything together until you can no longer see any flour.
Get around 75g of this dough and roll this into a ball.

Place this onto a plate or tray.
Repeat this until you have used all of the dough.
Place these cookie dough balls into your fridge

and leave to chill for at least 2 hours
BUT overnight is way better.
I recommend leaving them to chill overnight,
this will give the flavors a chance to develop.
Baking the cookies:
pre-heat your oven to 170c.
Also line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
Place your cookie dough balls onto your trays,

Bake them in your pre-heated oven for around 18-20 minutes.
Once baked, I sprinkled some flaky salt on top of them, but this is optional.
